The water of Lake Tahoe appeared to go on forever, at some point turning into a magnificent waterfall at the edge of the earth, but never stopping, just falling perpetually. Let the winged dreamship carry us gently into space, Over jagged contour lines like scars we can't erase. Who is the silent man? What does he say? No man on Earth has ever heard him speak, Yet he owns all the wisdom that we seek. He knows the secrets of the coming fray And all of its events, but dare not tell. He will not speak of all the dirty deeds And emphasis of wanting over needs That in the end will send us all to Hell, And in the black and dreary starless night, As all these empty words come crashing down, The silent man still does not make a sound For in the end he knows that he is right. When all the Earth is desolate and bare, The silent man will still be standing there.
